At an Easter table in Greece, Giannis and Mariantzela met for the first time. A shared passion for Greek flavours and a love story that would become the seed of Dakry.
Dakry began to take shape. A logo, an e-shop, and a base inside their home storage room. The first orders arrived, and the dream became real.
An old ground-floor space in Dafni was transformed into offices and a warehouse. The brand had a home of its own for the first time.
During a trip to Malta, Giannis proposed to Mariantzela. A love story that began at a Greek Easter table reached a new chapter overlooking the Mediterranean.
The idea of the gift boxes was born. Each box was designed like a small ritual — a curated Mediterranean experience wrapped with intention.
Orders grew rapidly. The space filled with boxes, ribbons, and aromas of the Mediterranean. Late nights became the norm.
The Christmas results told the story: 600 gift boxes delivered to homes and hearts. Dakry was a brand people trusted and returned to.
Gifting evolved into its own business unit, while exports opened new roads across the ocean. Dakry USA LLC was established.
A new stage of maturity. Partnerships became stronger, the vision became a legacy, and Dakry grew as a true Mediterranean luxury house.
By the end of 2025, Dakry was present in 22+ countries. The establishment of Dakry USA LLC marked our permanent arrival in the hearts of American gourmet lovers.
